For any privacy-related question, or to exercise any right described in this policy, email us at hello@steadfastandsustained.com. Putting "Privacy Request" in the subject line helps us route it faster, but we will honor your request however you send it.
General
We respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect the personal information you provide when you visit our website, purchase our products, or engage with us on social media, and what rights you have over that information.
We will note any change to this policy by updating the "Last Updated" date above. If we make a material change to how we handle your personal information, we will post a notice on this page before the change takes effect and, where the change materially affects your rights and we have your email address, we will email you. Your continued use of our website after a change takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
Information We Collect
Personal Data. Information that identifies you: your name, shipping and billing address, email address, and phone number. You provide this when you create an account, place an order, subscribe to our emails, enter a giveaway, submit a review, or contact us. Providing it is voluntary, but we cannot fulfill an order without it.
Derivative Data. Information our servers and service providers automatically collect when you visit: IP address, browser type and version, device type, referring page, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visit.
Financial Data. Payment card and billing details. We do not store full payment card numbers. Payment information is collected and processed directly by our payment processors (Shopify Payments, PayPal, and any other processor shown at checkout). Please review those processors' privacy policies to understand how they handle your financial data.
Social Networking Data. If you interact with us on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, or another platform, or use a social login, we may receive your username, profile picture, and other information you have made public. You control this through your privacy settings on that platform.
Customer Content. Reviews, photos, comments, and other content you submit to us or post on our website.
Other Data. Information you provide to enter a contest or giveaway, participate in our Ambassador or Referral programs, respond to a survey, or request wholesale pricing.
Text Message Marketing
We send marketing text messages only to customers who separately and affirmatively opt in. You opt in by checking the SMS consent box at checkout or on a signup form, or by texting a keyword to us. By opting in, you agree to receive automated marketing text messages from Steadfast and Sustained at the number you provided, including abandoned cart reminders and promotional offers. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
Separately, we may send you transactional messages about an order you placed (such as a shipping notification) where you have given us your number for that purpose.
- Message frequency varies; marketing messages will not exceed 10 per month.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- To stop receiving messages, reply STOP to any message from us. You may also reply QUIT, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE, or OPT OUT, or use any other reasonable method to tell us you want to stop — including emailing hello@steadfastandsustained.com. We will honor any reasonable opt-out request, received by any method, within 10 business days and generally much sooner. We will not require you to use one specific method to opt out.
- After you opt out, we may send a single message confirming your request.
- For help, reply HELP or email hello@steadfastandsustained.com.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Create and administer your account
- Process, fulfill, and deliver your orders
- Process payments and refunds
- Correspond with you and provide customer service
- Send order confirmations, shipping notices, and other transactional messages
- Send newsletters, promotions, and marketing communications you have opted into
- Deliver and measure advertising, including on social media platforms
- Administer contests, giveaways, reviews, and our Ambassador and Referral programs
- Request and display feedback and reviews
- Personalize your experience on our website
- Compile anonymous, aggregated statistics
- Detect and prevent fraud and abuse
- Resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, and enforce our Terms of Service
- Comply with our legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from authorities
We limit our collection of personal data to what is adequate, relevant, and reasonably necessary for these purposes, and we do not process your personal data for a purpose that is neither reasonably necessary to, nor compatible with, the purposes described here without first obtaining your consent.
Sensitive Personal Data
Some privacy laws, including the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, treat information revealing religious beliefs as sensitive personal data. Because we sell faith-based products, the fact that you are our customer may reveal or suggest information about your religious beliefs.
We do not sell your sensitive personal data. We do not rent, trade, or otherwise transfer our customer list, or any segment of it, to any third party for that third party's own use, in exchange for money or any other valuable consideration.
Where the law requires your consent before we use advertising or analytics technologies that could be treated as a "sale" of personal data, we obtain that consent through our cookie banner before enabling them, and we will not enable them if you decline. Where consent is not legally required, these technologies may be enabled by default, and you may opt out at any time using any of the methods in the "Targeted Advertising" section below. You may change or withdraw your choice whenever you like.
We also do not collect biometric data, genetic data, precise geolocation data, health information, or information about your racial or ethnic origin, citizenship or immigration status, or sexual orientation.
How We Share Your Information
We share your personal data with the following categories of third parties, for the purposes described:
| Category of recipient | Purpose |
|---|---|
| E-commerce and hosting platform (Shopify) | Operating our store, hosting our website, processing orders |
| Payment processors (Shopify Payments, PayPal, and others shown at checkout) | Processing payments and refunds, fraud screening |
| Shipping and fulfillment carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx, and our fulfillment partners) | Delivering your order and providing tracking |
| Email and SMS marketing providers | Sending the communications you have opted into |
| Analytics providers (including Google Analytics) | Understanding how our website is used |
| Advertising and social media platforms (including Meta, Google, Pinterest, TikTok) | Delivering and measuring advertising |
| Reviews, loyalty, referral, and wishlist app providers | Operating those features on our store |
| Professional advisers (accountants, attorneys, insurers) | Obtaining professional advice and maintaining insurance |
| Law enforcement and government authorities | Complying with law, legal process, and lawful requests |
We may also disclose your information:
By law. To comply with a subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of our company, our customers, or others, or to prevent fraud.
In a business transfer. If our business is sold, merged, or enters bankruptcy, your information may be transferred as a business asset. Any successor will be required to honor the commitments in this policy for personal data collected before the transfer, unless you agree otherwise. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.
With your direction. When you ask us to, such as when you share a wishlist or send a referral.
External links. Our website may link to sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit through a link from ours.
Targeted Advertising and "Sale" of Personal Data
We use advertising and analytics cookies and pixels from platforms including Meta, Google, Pinterest, and TikTok. These technologies let those platforms recognize your device and show you our advertising on their services and elsewhere. Under the broad definitions used in some state privacy laws, this kind of data sharing may be considered a "sale" of personal data or "targeted advertising," even though we receive no money for it.
Where the law requires your consent, we ask for it through our cookie banner before enabling these technologies. Where it does not, you may opt out at any time — and we honor opt-out requests from everyone, wherever you live. To opt out:
- Use the "Your privacy choices" link in our website footer (our data sharing opt-out page); or
- Adjust the cookie preferences available on our website; or
- Email hello@steadfastandsustained.com and tell us you want to opt out of targeted advertising; or
- Enable a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser or as a browser extension. We honor GPC signals as an opt-out of targeted advertising and the sale of personal data for the browser on which the signal is enabled.
You may also opt out of interest-based advertising industry-wide through the Network Advertising Initiative and the Digital Advertising Alliance.
We do not sell your sensitive personal data, and we do not sell the personal data of anyone we know to be under 18 years of age.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies, log files, pixels, and web beacons.
Log files record IP address, browser type, internet service provider, date and time, and referring and exit pages. We use this to analyze trends, administer the site, and gather aggregate demographic information.
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use them to keep you logged in, remember your cart, secure the site, personalize your experience, measure site performance, and deliver advertising.
Most browsers accept cookies by default. You can disable cookies through your browser settings, though doing so may affect your ability to use parts of our website, including checkout. Where we present a cookie consent banner, you may set your preferences there and change them at any time.
Do Not Track. Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" ("DNT") setting. There is no industry or legal standard for how a website must respond to a DNT signal. Our website does not currently respond to Do Not Track browser signals. We do, however, honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as described in the "Targeted Advertising" section above.
Third-party tracking. Third parties, including our analytics and advertising providers, may collect personal information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use our website. We do not control those third parties' tracking practices.
Data Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law.
- Order and transaction records: retained for 4 years, and generally no longer than 7, to comply with tax, accounting, and warranty obligations.
- Account information: retained while your account is active, and for 2 years after your last interaction, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
- Marketing contact information: retained until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record kept indefinitely so that we do not contact you again.
- Website analytics data: retained in identifiable form for no more than 26 months.
We do not keep personal data indefinitely without a purpose. When data is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. We cannot control the retention practices of third parties who already hold your data; you will need to contact them directly. On request, we will tell you the categories of third parties we have shared your data with.
Data Security
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your personal data, appropriate to its volume and nature. Our website uses TLS encryption, and we use reputable payment processors that maintain PCI-DSS compliance. However, no security measure is perfect and no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of any information you transmit to us.
Data Breach Notification
If we determine that your sensitive personal information (as that term is defined in Texas Business & Commerce Code § 521.002) has been acquired by an unauthorized person, we will notify you without unreasonable delay and no later than 60 days after that determination, as required by Texas Business & Commerce Code § 521.053. Where such a breach affects 250 or more Texas residents, we will also notify the Texas Attorney General within 30 days.
For other security incidents affecting your information, we will notify you where the law requires it, and otherwise where we believe you would want to know. In every case we will tell you what happened, what information was involved, and what you can do.
Children's Privacy
Our website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Our store is not directed to children.
Separately, as a condition of our Terms of Service, you must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your state, to place an order or create an account. A parent or legal guardian may place an order on behalf of a minor and is responsible for that order. Minors may browse this website only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
If you believe we have collected personal information from a child under 13, please contact us at hello@steadfastandsustained.com and we will delete it promptly.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights below. We honor these requests for all of our customers, regardless of your state, as a matter of policy.
- Know and access. Confirm whether we process your personal data and obtain a copy of it.
- Correct. Correct inaccuracies in your personal data.
- Delete. Request deletion of personal data we have collected from you or obtained about you.
- Portability. Obtain a copy of the personal data you provided to us in a portable and, where technically feasible, readily usable format.
- Opt out. Opt out of targeted advertising, of any "sale" of your personal data, and of profiling that produces a legal or similarly significant effect.
- Opt out of marketing. Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email, or from texts as described above.
- Non-retaliation. We will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, or provide you a lower quality of service because you exercised a privacy right. This does not prevent us from operating a bona fide loyalty or rewards program.
We may decline a deletion request, in whole or in part, where we need the information to complete a transaction you asked for, comply with a legal or tax obligation, exercise or defend a legal claim, detect and prevent fraud or security incidents, or keep a suppression record so that we do not contact you again. If we decline in part, we will tell you why and delete everything else.
How to submit a request
Email hello@steadfastandsustained.com and tell us which right you want to exercise. Putting "Privacy Request" in the subject line helps, but is not required — we will honor your request however you send it. You do not need to create an account to make a request.
We will respond without undue delay and no later than 45 days after we receive your request. If we need more time, we will tell you within that first 45 days why we need an extension, and we will respond within 45 additional days (90 days total).
We provide this information free of charge at least twice in any 12-month period. We may charge a reasonable fee, or decline to act, on a request that is manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive, and we bear the burden of showing that it is.
Before we act, we may need to verify your identity using commercially reasonable methods, and may ask you for additional information for that purpose. A parent or legal guardian may exercise these rights on behalf of a child. An authorized agent may submit an opt-out request on your behalf, including through a browser or device setting.
If we decline your request — how to appeal
If we refuse to act on your request, we will tell you why within 45 days and explain how to appeal.
To appeal, email hello@steadfastandsustained.com and tell us you are appealing. We will respond in writing, with our reasons, no later than 60 days after we receive your appeal.
If we deny your appeal, you may contact the Texas Attorney General to submit a complaint using the online mechanism at: https://consumerprotection.texasattorneygeneral.gov/consumercomplaintportal/s/

Texas residents have the rights described in the "Your Privacy Rights" section above under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (Tex. Bus. & Com. Code Ch. 541). The "Do Not Track" and third-party tracking disclosures required by Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code § 22575(b)(5) and (b)(6) appear in the "Cookies and Tracking Technologies" section above.
